General Description:

Erect quick growing shrub with tangly branches leaves darken in winter. Yellow flowers followed by red berries in autumn that birds eat. Very hardy great coastal plant. Corokia can be planted as individual shrubs which have great textural interest, or a dense hedge.

Uses:

Corokia add a great texture against a modern house or wall. They can be kept clipped hard for a formal hedge with great definition or left as a more informal hedge with small leaves for contrast. Corokia are equally at home in a traditional English garden or NZ native feature.

Plant Care:

Grows in full sun or light shade and also tolerates dry conditions and wind. Hardy. For a formal hedge keep clipped to shape twice a year. For an informal hedge trim annually. Fertilise in spring.
